Vic: Duck shooters urged to refresh game skills ahead of season

MELBOURNE, Jan 19 AAP - Duck shooters were today reminded to refresh their game identification
skills ahead of the opening of the Victorian duck season in mid-March.

The bag limit would remain at five birds per hunter per day (half the normal number)
because of dry conditions in the state, the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment
(DNRE) said.

The DNRE's Flora and Fauna Manager Dr Robert Begg said the overall bag could include
one Blue-winged Shoveler.
